I was honored in 1999 to be selected by the Chicago Percent For Art Program to create a painting for the new Near North Branch Library at 310 W.Division St.

The work is approx 6'x12' and is representative of my fascination with dance and other sybolic imagery which tends to recur in my more surreal work--birds, doorways, and the sense of hope implicit in wide open expanses of blue sky. Below you see Key Bearer U before it was installed. (Big image...please be patient)

The white semicircle is a placeholder for the bubble panel mounted in front when installed. (See below right and my "home" button at the bottom of the page) The painted rope becomes a real rope on panel 3.
