Typically I work from photography, although I have been known to supplement my works with videotape and sittings.

For portraiture, I'm usually the photographer. I'll take several rolls of film with changes in pose, expression and sometimes wardrobe. I then collaborate with my client to select a pose.

As you'll see in this web site, I also collaborate with other photographers. Most notably so far is August Tye.

It's not uncommon for me to get a request to do a "treatment" from a client's photo or photos, and I am open to creating a portrait in this way.
